Schedule a consultation with our experts to answer your questions and draw up a solid action plan.

The initial consultation is the ideal time to ask your legal questions and discuss a strategy tailored to your situation. Our legal professionals will assist you, evaluate your needs and listen to your concerns carefully. Taking legal action may seem intimidating but our legal professionals will support you every step of the way. Learn more about our initial consultation process.

Why consult our experts?

We have decades of experience in the areas of family and estate law. Before we founded our firm, we worked for various leading law practices. We subsequently decided to go into business so we could continue providing high-quality legal services while having more flexibility for our clients and honouring each person’s unique financial situation.

We are recognized by our peers and clients not only for our legal skills, but also for our ability to deal with complex disputes that may at times appear insurmountable.

We have extensive expertise with divorce and separation cases in which the spouses or common-law spouses have complex corporate structures involving trusts and multiple companies, as well as with difficult custody cases.

Our process

The legal process may seem complex and intimidating. Our experienced legal professionals will answer all your questions and can draw up a custom-tailored plan.

Step 1
First of all, for an initial consultation, you can schedule an appointment directly on our website, by phone or via email. We offer in-person or virtual consultations (Teams, Zoom, Google Meet), depending on your preference. You can also choose which lawyer you would like to meet with.
Step 2
You will be required to provide some information so we can open a file. In this regard, we will send you a document that you can complete over the phone with our legal assistant or using your computer or electronic device. Once we have received your completed document, your consultation will be confirmed. If legal proceedings have already been initiated, please provide us with the relevant documentation prior to the consultation so we are fully prepared.
Step 3
During the consultation, we will ask you a series of questions with a view to identifying the issues pertaining to your case. We may begin to establish a strategy immediately and find solutions working alongside you.
Step 4
During the consultation, we will define our mandate as precisely as possible and we will discuss financial terms and fees so you are fully prepared to initiate the process. Each case is unique, so our approach will vary depending on the details of your situation.
Step 5
Finally, during the execution stage, we will offer legal advice, conduct negotiations (either directly with the opposing party’s lawyer or by taking part in a settlement process) and represent you in court. All our legal professionals have courtroom experience (Superior Court of Québec, Court of Appeal and, in the case of Mr. Dessureault, the Supreme Court of Canada).

What happens after the consultation?

After the consultation, we will provide you with our service agreement. In most cases, we will ask you to pay an advance on our fees, which will vary depending on the complexity of your case. We will immediately start working on the mandate you have entrusted us with.
